Posted online

David and Stacey O’Reilly donated $100,000 to the Ozarks Regional YMCA.

The gift goes toward the YMCA's annual campaign, which provides director financial assistance to children and families, as well as subsidies for youth development programming, such as after-school and summer camp initiatives, according to a news release issued this morning.

“I’ve been going to the Y since I was in grade school, and it’s been a huge part of my life ever since. Being able to fund the continued success of the Y mission is very gratifying to me personally,” said David O’Reilly, executive vice chair of the board for O'Reilly Automotive Inc. (Nasdaq: ORLY), in the release.

The Ozarks Regional YMCA has raised $1.1 million in donations, grants and event proceeds to date this year, said nonprofit spokesperson Julie Eaton.

The local YMCA, which has over 20,000 members, has an operating budget of $8.5 million, Eaton said.

“Our Y remains steadfast in our mission to strengthen those who need us most,” said Kathryn Custer, CEO of the Ozarks Regional YMCA, in the release. “With the generous support of mission partners, like David and Stacey O’Reilly, families can count on us for affordable child care and summer camp experiences that nurture the social and emotional development of children.”
