O’Reilly Charity Golf Classic raises $664K

The annual O’Reilly Charity Golf Classic this year raised $663,656 for local nonprofits.

On Nov. 18, 33 organizations received 42 grants during the funding presentation, said Julie Gray, vice president of corporate services and assistant corporate secretary for O'Reilly Automotive Inc. (Nasdaq: ORLY). The tournament was held in September. Since the tournament’s fund was established with Community Foundation of the Ozarks Inc. in 2017, more than $2.2 million has been awarded to local organizations, she said.

Gray said grants ranged from $10,000 up to nearly $30,000. Thirty-three organizations received operational funding grants, and nine were issued capital funding grants for specific items.

• Developmental Center of the Ozarks;
• Discovery Center of Springfield Inc.;
• Doula Foundation;
• Downtown YMCA/Ozarks Regional YMCA;
• Springfield Dream Center;
• The Drew Lewis Foundation Inc.;
• Dynamic Strides Therapy;
• FosterAdopt Connect;
• Harmony House;
• In Time of Need Foundation;
• Isabel's House;
• Least of These Inc.;
• Lost and Found Grief Center;
• Lutheran Family and Children Services;

The 2020 O’Reilly Auto Parts Charity Golf Classic was canceled due to coronavirus pandemic protocols. However, the company still donated $360,000 to 32 charities, according to past reporting.
