Vision Clinic Downtown
The Vision Clinic’s fourth Springfield-area location opened Sept. 1 at 213 W. Olive St., Ste. 101 in downtown Springfield. Operating under Urban Eye Care Associates LLC, the 1,200-square-foot site joins The Vision Clinic PC affiliates on South National and in Nixa and Ozark. Dr. M. Kory Scullawl and his wife, Bethany, office administrator, run Vision Clinic Downtown, which offers eye exams, contact lenses and glasses, and can diagnose glaucoma symptoms. Bethany Scullawl said the clinic fills a void in optometry service dedicated to downtown residents. Prices depend on co-pay and vision insurance, but without insurance, a yearly comprehensive exam costs $84, she said. Hours: 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Phone: (417) 862-3937. Everything Kitchens LLC
On Oct. 3, Everything Kitchens LLC added a 3,100-square-foot retail store at 2750 S. Glenstone Ave. in the Brentwood Center. Everything Kitchens carries about 4,500 kitchen and appliance products, including cutlery, food processors, deep fryers and bake ware by such brands as KitchenAid, Cuisinart and Bosch, according to its Web site. Church said being the oldest of nine children and cooking while growing up led her to start the business, which employs 19. Hours (holiday): 10 a.m.–8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1–5 p.m. Sunday. Phone: (417) 719-4243. Web: EverythingKitchens.com

Sisters in Thyme LLC

Sisters in Thyme offers a bakery, deli and market that includes baked goods, deli sandwiches, preservative-free breads, homemade pies, cupcakes and coffee. Cooper had baked and sold bread at C-Street Farmers Market the last four years. Hours: 10:30 a.m.–3 p.m. Monday, 9 a.m.–7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Saturday.
