Travellers House Coffee LLC
Travellers House Coffee LLC is the new coffee shop tenant at the Springfield-Branson National Airport, 2300 N. Airport Blvd. It opened Nov. 19 in the space formerly occupied by Rove Coffee, which did not renew its lease and closed in April. Travellers House was selected from three proposals in a public bidding process, said airport spokesperson Kit McGuire-Stiggins. She said Travellers House signed a two-year deal with options for another three years and has agreed to pay 8% of gross monthly receipts. Co-owner Greg Venturella declined to disclose startup costs for the four-employee shop. The menu features beverages, including chai latte, cafe au lait and turmeric ginger tea, along with pastries, sandwiches and quiches. Prices generally range $2-$8. Venturella said shop hours would expand once flights increase. Passenger traffic has been down amid the coronavirus pandemic, according to airport officials. Travellers House operates two other Springfield shops: at 824 S. National Ave. in Boomer Town and 2151 W. Republic Road in Republic Plaza.
