The Press Coffee and Juice Bar
After calling Farmers Park home since its 2014 launch, The Press Coffee and Juice Bar moved Oct. 5 to Brentwood Center North. At 2710 S. Glenstone Ave., The Press occupies 1,750 square feet between Nearly Famous Deli and Gloss Nail Lounge. Cafe owner Alice Oh signed a seven-year lease with Jared Commercial Real Estate LLC, declining to disclose the rate or relocation costs. She said the new space includes a full kitchen, allowing The Press to expand with more breakfast and lunch options. Its menu of coffee and organic, cold-pressed juices remains, with beer, wine and kombucha as new additions. Drink prices range $2-$5.85, while breakfast and lunch items, including omelets, burritos, kimchi rice and street tacos, run $3-$11. The business, which employs nine, originally opened as Caffe Bene, a franchise coffeehouse chain out of South Korea. After dissolving the agreement in December 2016, Oh renamed the shop as The Press.

CoxHealth Urgent Care
The newest urgent care facility for CoxHealth opened Oct. 21 near the intersection of Sunshine Street and Kansas Expressway. Roughly 20 employees staff the clinic at 1429 W. Sunshine St., said CoxHealth spokeswoman Kaitlyn McConnell. The 4,000-square-foot facility occupies a former primary care office of the health care provider, she said, declining to disclose renovation costs. No appointments are necessary for patients at the clinic. It offers CoxHealth’s Save My Spot online program, enabling people to request a time they’d like to be seen, while they wait at home for the appointment. The clinic provides service for injuries and illnesses that should be addressed immediately but aren’t severe enough for an emergency room visit. Typically, those are infections, fractures, allergic reactions and eye injuries. CoxHealth also operates urgent care clinics in Branson, Lebanon, Monett and Ozark.

The Bodysmith
Eight-year-old Pilates and fitness studio The Bodysmith moved Sept. 16 to 1136 St. Louis St., just west of Steak ’n Shake in the former Kolar Business Machines building. Owner Shauna Smith Yates said she was informed over a year ago the downtown building housing her 317 E. Walnut St. studio was selling, precipitating the move. Yates signed a five-year lease for an undisclosed rate with Morris Loan and Investment Co., occupying the building’s approximately 4,100 square feet. She confirmed an infill work estimate of $50,000 identified on a city building permit. Yates noted The Bodysmith specializes in private and small classes for individual attention. Studio class offerings include Pilates, yoga, tai chi, kettlebell, suspension training and Rock Steady Boxing designed for those with Parkinson’s disease. Yates said the Parkinson’s Group of the Ozarks, for which she serves as a board member, also shares space in the building.
