One Drop Coffee Co. LLC
One Drop Coffee Co. LLC opened Oct. 16 at 2144 E. Republic Road, Ste. A-132, in Farmers Park, filling a summertime vacancy by The Press Coffee & Juice Bar, which moved to Brentwood Center North. One Drop Coffee Co. is the first business venture by owners Eric and Mary Groves, who signed a five-year lease for an undisclosed rate with Green Circle Projects. Mary Groves also declined to disclose startup costs for the 1,100-square-foot shop, which employs four. The menu features coffee roasted by Bentonville, Arkansas-based Onyx Coffee Lab, with beverages including traditional and specialty espressos, lattes, mochas, frozen drinks and spiced chai. Drink prices are in the $1.50-$4.50 range. Prices for food, which includes muffins, parfaits, bagels, oatmeal, salads and sandwiches, such as a jerk chicken wrap, range from $2.50 to $6.50. Groves said the baked goods are made daily in-house.

Robert Cirtin Investigations LLC
Nearing 30 years in business, Robert Cirtin Investigations LLC relocated Sept. 23 to southeast Springfield at 3333 E. Battlefield Road, Ste. 300. Owner Robert Cirtin, a licensed private investigator, said he’s had a dedicated office in his home since 1991 but needed more space and desired a more visible presence. Cirtin is a former police officer, Greene County presiding commissioner and director of investigations for the Missouri Board of Accountancy. He said the roughly 1,160-square-foot space allowed him to staff four employees in the office, with two other investigators continuing to work from their homes. The firm conducts surveillance and investigations, including workers’ compensation, employment disputes, church safety and security, family law, domestic and child custody cases. Cirtin is on a three-year lease with Battle2 LLC for $1,400 per month for the first year and $1,500 per month by the third year.

David Payne Law LLC
Aurora-based attorney David Payne added a second office Jan. 2 at 746 E. Highway 60 in Republic’s Wildwood Plaza. Payne said the growth of Republic, along with Wildwood Plaza going up across the street from Pinegar Chevrolet Inc., were key factors in establishing the new office. David Payne Law LLC, founded in 2009, focuses on estate planning and small-business representation. Startup costs and the rate of his five-year lease with Wildwood Plaza development group Melbourne 4 LLC, co-owned by Pinegar family members, were not disclosed. According to WildwoodPlaza.com, lease rates range from $14.50 to $17 per square foot. He said Lenny Clark of Liteworks Design LLC completed office infill for the 1,500-square-foot space. Payne said he plans to spend time equally at his Aurora office and the four-employee Republic location.
