NoBaked Cookie Dough
A franchise store of Nashville, Tennessee-based NoBaked Cookie Dough began serving sweet treats April 17 in the Fremont Corners shopping center. At 1364 E. Republic Road, the shop offers raw, edible cookie dough by the scoop, with flavors including s’more, red velvet and cinnamon roll. Prices start at $5 a scoop, and the menu also has coffee, sundaes and milkshakes, according to its website. NoBaked Cookie Dough franchisees Michael Lassen and Kyler Steding signed a five-year lease for the roughly 1,300-square-foot shop formerly occupied by Star Cakes. Lassen said lease payments are less than $2,000 per month. Undisclosed franchise terms were negotiated by Lassen, who said the company typically charges a $30,000 franchise fee, 6% royalties and 1% for marketing. The duo is targeting four more shops within the next two years.

Landing Axes
Lake cruise operator Main Street Marina, owned by Larry and Lianne Milton, has joined the axe-throwing business with its new venture dubbed Landing Axes. Opened May 18 at Branson Landing, the business has eight lanes for axe throwing and two dart boards, said Carrie Green, who handles group sales for the Lake Taneycomo marina. Startup costs were not disclosed. The attraction, which plans to host tournaments, is located south of Bass Pro Shops in the outdoor shopping center at 9 S. Boardwalk. According to its website, pricing is $10 per person for groups of two to four people for a 30-minute session. For groups of five or more, pricing for a 30-minute session is $8 per person. Free axe-throwing lessons are offered based on lane availability. Landing Axes is a member of the World Axe Throwing League, which requires league-approved axes and closed-toed shoes on players, according to LandingAxes.com.

Seven Hills Veterinary Clinic LLC
Seven Hills Veterinary Clinic LLC nearly tripled its space in a Nov. 26 relocation to 911 N. Kenneth St. in Nixa. Dr. Ryan Bader started the mixed-animal practice in 2013 in Nixa, where he operated at 819 N. Main St. At the 4,000-square-foot clinic, he works with dogs, cats, farm animals and exotic pets, such as reptiles, amphibians and guinea pigs. Medical services include laser therapy, and he also offers pet supplies. Bader’s wife, Sarah, serves as clinic administrator, and there are three doctors among the 14 staff members. She said the clinic serves roughly 20,000 animal patients among its 7,000 clients. The couple declined to disclose renovation costs and lease terms for the building, which was previously occupied by Ziggie’s Cafe.
