Kendra Scott
Austin, Texas-based Kendra Scott LLC made its Springfield debut with the Aug. 26 opening at Battlefield Mall. The 20-year-old retail jewelry chain fills 3,760 square feet in the mall formerly occupied by Ann Taylor between Lululemon Athletica Inc. and Five Guys Burger and Fries, said Kendra Scott spokesperson Katie Morlan. She declined to disclose startup costs or the one-year lease rate with mall owner Simon Property Group. Manager Kim Fernan leads a staff of 18 at the store, which sells necklaces, earrings, bracelets, charms, rings and watches. The company also offers jewelry and watch repair. Morland said the Queen City store is the fourth for the company in Missouri and 116th nationwide across 34 states. It has two shops in St. Louis and one in Kansas City, according to its website.

Lost Boys Barber Co.
Nearly five years after opening in Branson, Lost Boys Barber Co. LLC relocated July 5 to 259 Birdcage Walk in Hollister. Michael Junge, who co-owns the business with his wife, Catie, said they purchased the Birdcage Walk building from Glass Pro LLC for an undisclosed price. Junge said in the move Lost Boys, which opened in October 2017, gained nearly triple the space and more parking. The Branson shop at 709 Veterans Blvd. was 900 square feet, and the new location is at 2,450 square feet, he said. While declining to disclose renovation costs, he said the two-story barber shop is meant to reflect a vintage garage hangout with eight barbers and a waiting area on the main level. The upstairs lounge area includes a pool table. Haircuts range $15 for a buzz cut to $50 for a cut and shave. Junge said appointments are recommended via the company’s website.

Wilson Logistics
Over-the-road trucking company Wilson Logistics Inc. opened its corporate headquarters in Strafford on July 21 at 545 E. Evergreen Road. The project is the first phase of Wilson Logistics’ 120-acre Strafford development, which also includes a truck driver training area. Future phases include a shop and mechanics building, wash bays, hotel, restaurants, strip center and storage units. In 2018, company officials announced plans for a $7 million-$8 million multiphase terminal project. Darrel Lake, property and facilities manager, declined to disclose the headquarters’ final price tag but said costs were in line with the original estimate with minimal overages mostly associated with supply chain shortages and delays. He said roughly 100 employees work in the 25,057-square-foot building, which includes all administrative, operational and training department personnel. Killian Construction Co. was general contractor for the project designed by Slone Architects & Interior Designers Inc.
