Huber & Associates Inc.
After 24 years in Glenstone Square, Huber & Associates Inc. moved its Springfield office Feb. 1 to 2144 E. Republic Road, Ste. F-402, in Farmers Park. The Jefferson City-based information technology consulting firm is on a one-year lease for an undisclosed rate with Green Circle Projects LLC for a fourth-floor office in Building F, above Cast Co-working Space, said Lana Caulliette, marketing and community engagement specialist for the Springfield office. On the building’s top floor, Caulliette said five employees have private work areas as well as shared workspace. “We wanted a more modern place to host customers,” she said, adding an open house and ribbon cutting is planned Sept. 20. “It’s very inviting and architecturally fun.” Huber & Associates offers infrastructure services, such as software and hardware solutions, as well as in-house, full-service IT consulting and network security assessments. Caulliette said the company has over 100 active client accounts in the Springfield area.

City Butcher LLC
As of Aug. 29, an east-side food truck is in place and open by City Butcher LLC in the Southern Hills Shopping Center on East Sunshine Street. The trailer sits between Hudson Hawk Barber & Shop and Braum’s, said Dalton Alday, City Butcher’s front of house manager. “We wanted to offer quick, easy access to barbecue,” Alday said of the meat company’s new addition. Prep work and cooking for the food truck is handled at the company’s south-side store, 3650 S. Campbell Ave., which opened in late 2014 offering sandwiches, Texas-style smoked meats by the pound and sides. Alday said focus is on grab-and-go meals, but picnic tables are available. He said the food truck should double City Butcher’s current production, which can top 200 pounds each of brisket and pork on a busy Friday or Saturday.

Southwest Missouri Safety Co.
Nixa-based Southwest Missouri Safety Co. closed on its acquisition Aug. 13 of fellow Springfield-area safety training company Brittney Inc. Terms of the deal with Brittney founders Lee and Carol Johnson were undisclosed, but Southwest Missouri Safety President Russell Hinds said the purchase doubled company revenue into the “seven figure plus” range. The combined firm has seven employees, Hinds said. “The company is going through a growth strategy where we want to try to cover several states throughout the Midwest,” he said. “This is the first step as part of that expansion.” With the purchase, the combined company plans to rebrand Jan. 1, 2019, as Mid-America Safety and Environmental, Hinds said, noting the two companies would retain their names until that date. The Johnsons are no longer involved in the company and plan to retire, Hinds said.
