Fleur Floral Studio LLC
The Rountree neighborhood gained a flower shop with the Feb. 1 opening of Fleur Floral Studio LLC. At 1423 E. Cherry St., Ste. 101, the shop is a first-time business venture for husband-and-wife owners Garrett and Rose Cochran. Startup costs were roughly $10,000, said Rose Cochran, a 2019 Missouri State University graduate. She said the couple is on a three-year lease for an undisclosed rate with Pickwick and Cherry LLC. The three-employee shop sells floral arrangements and custom balloon garlands for pickup and delivery, as well as for weddings and other events, she said. Floral arrangement delivery service is available with a $45 minimum purchase. Fleur Floral Studio occupies roughly 1,200 square feet in a renovated, nearly century-old Spanish-style mission building. The shop is next door to Artistree Pottery LLC, an art studio that opened in September.

Drive-thru coffee shop Chance of Sno & Coffee Co. LLC launched Nov. 16 in Nixa. Husband-and-wife owners Aaron and Bron Battaglia are the sole employees for the venture in the parking lot of The Bridge Church, 308 W. Mount Vernon St. Aaron Battaglia declined to disclose startup costs and the one-year lease rate with the church. The shop’s menu includes hot, iced and blended lattes, cold brew and other beverages, such as caramel apple cider. Prices range $2.50-$5. Cinnamon rolls and muffins are among food options, he said, noting they plan to add Taiwanese shaved ice to the menu. Republic Nutrition
A former over-the-road truck driver has transitioned into a new career path with the Nov. 7 opening of Republic Nutrition, 876 U.S. Highway 60. The 750-square-foot shop in the Republic Shopping Center sells meal replacement shakes, metabolism boosting energy teas and protein iced coffees. Darren Evans co-owns the shop with fiancee Victoria Thomas. He declined to disclose startup costs and lease terms. Evans, who drove trucks for Walmart Inc. for nearly eight years, said he was inspired by Thomas to open a healthy drinks shop in Republic. Earlier last year, she opened a similar business, The Healthy Hub Harrison, in Harrison, Arkansas, and he became a co-owner of that venture. Shakes at Republic Nutrition generally run $7, with flavorings of blueberry muffin and caramel apple. Teas cost around $5 in flavors including cinnamon and raspberry. Iced coffees are $6.
