BluCurrent Credit Union
After outgrowing its longtime operations center, BluCurrent Credit Union held a June 21 grand opening at an office building it renovated at 4520 S. National Ave. The credit union is owner of the building that previously was home to Mercy Health Plans. Tanner Sublette, compliance manager for BluCurrent, said its former operations center, 1770 W. Sunset St., opened in 2010 and remains one of its five Springfield area branches. He declined to disclose renovation and relocation costs to occupy the roughly 45,000-square-foot building, adding that BluCurrent fills around 37,000 square feet. Video banking solutions and software firm Invo Solutions also occupies space in the building, Sublette said, adding it moved to the facility in January. BluCurrent’s Derek Williams, executive vice president and chief operations officer, is one of the founders of Invo Solutions. Kaitlyn Peoples leads the credit union’s South National Avenue branch, which includes a walk-in service center and drive-up interactive teller machine that is open 24/7.

Ozark Mountain Gymnastics
In business for nearly four decades, Ozark Mountain Gymnastics is under new ownership. The venture was acquired July 15 for undisclosed terms by a new ownership group called Ozark Mountain Gymnastics LLC, said Jeremy Brokate, who with his wife, DeeDee, is representing the group. A news release said Mary Jo and Johnny Williams, former owners of the 2910 S. Fort Ave. business, intend to focus on their real estate and political careers, respectively. The Brokates have been involved with the gym, which teaches gymnastics and tumbling classes to children ages 18 months to 18 years, as parents of competitive gymnast daughter Maddox. Jeremy Brokate also is CEO of Brokate Janitorial LLC. Brokate said his OMG Property LLC separately purchased the nearly 15,000-square-foot gym property, near the intersection of Fort Avenue and Battlefield Road. Ozark Mountain Gymnastics was founded in 1988 by Jeff and Julie Maynard. Their daughter, Mary Jo Williams and her husband, Johnny, purchased the business in 2012.

Star Concert Hall
A Branson theater property made way for a new entertainment business with the Aug. 9 opening of Star Concert Hall. The 3750 W. 76 Country Blvd. venue is owned by Donnie Frizzell and Jim Kelly. Frizzell is a veteran music producer for events involving bands such as The Eagles and Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Kelly owns Branson’s Wild World and Retromania. The owners said they recently finalized the purchase of the property for undisclosed terms and have conducted renovations to the facility. They declined to disclose the seller. A real estate listing on LoopNet.com indicates the 1981-built theater is nearly 33,000 square feet. The owners say Star Concert Hall will bring “national artists of all genres back to Branson.” Additionally, a secondary space called Studio B is set to open in 2025 and operate as a club and outdoor grill restaurant. Country musicians Pam Tillis and Crystal Gayle, rock bands Great White and Slaughter, and R&B band the Commodores are among those set to perform before year’s end, according to the venue’s website.
