Old Missouri Bank rebrands

Old Missouri Bank has rebranded.

The Springfield-based company is now OMB Bank, according to a news release issued this morning. The company last month received authorization by the state Division of Finance and official documents have been approved by the Missouri secretary of state's office.

“We couldn’t be more excited to usher in this new era for OMB,” said Mark Harrington, president and CEO, in the release. "The Old Missouri Bank name has served us well for a long time, but it was clear we needed to make an adjustment to align the bank’s brand with our strategic growth initiatives. This name change helps position OMB for future growth locally, regionally and beyond.”

Company officials have used the OMB acronym to refer to the bank in news releases and marketing materials for years. The company's social media pages now have been switched to reflect the name, and officials say exterior signage changes will be made as budgeting allows.

Harrington in 1998 founded JamesMark Bancshares Inc. as the holding company for Old Missouri National Bank, which was established in 1999. The name changed to Old Missouri Bank in 2006.

OMB Bank has eight branches, according to the release. Last year, the company ranked No. 8 in deposits held in the Springfield metropolitan statistical area. Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. data show OMB had $1.2 billion in deposits, or 7.4% of the market share, as of June 30, 2022.
