In addition to its fanciful doughnuts such as Fruity Pebbles and Maple Bacon, Hurts Donut Co. is known for a unique marketing style that blends big, bold colors with a solid sense of humor. At the company’s “galactic headquarters,” as the sign out front states, that marketing angle comes to life. Splashes of color greet guests starting with the lobby, making it a good setup to host current and potential franchisees. Led by founder and CEO Tim Clegg, the 11,000-square-foot, nine-employee office is tucked away in an unassuming southwest Springfield exterior building renovated after Hurts Donut purchased the former home of MD Publications in 2020.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
