North-side Buffalo Wild Wings closes

One of two Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants in Springfield has closed for business, and the franchisee’s former landlord quickly listed the space on the market.

Curtis Jared, president and CEO of Super Center Plaza owner Jared Properties LLC, said the 5,800-square-foot restaurant, at 2725 N. Kansas Expressway, closed Dec. 8.

“We’ve already began to market the space,” he said via email, noting Jared Commercial Real Estate LLC handles leasing for the property.

A listing at JaredCommercial.com shows building signage already has been removed from the former Buffalo Wild Wings.

Jeremy Boyer, chief operating officer for Buffalo Wild Wings franchisee Bruno Enterprises Inc., said the group chose not to renew its lease, which ends Dec. 31.

“We’ve been looking to relocate. We just haven’t found another spot,” he said, noting a north-side location would be preferred. “We made the decision that we’re going to continue to look around.”

Boyer said Bruno Enterprises also operates the 900 E. Battlefield Road location of Buffalo Wild Wings, which remains open for business. Counting the Springfield location, Bruno Enterprises has 15 Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants, he said.
