YOUR BUSINESS AUTHORITY
Springfield, MO
Debbie has had a trailblazing career. The first female lawyer at Husch Blackwell LLP, and attorney to iconic developer John Q. Hammons. She was the fourth woman to chair the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce board, and the first woman outside of the Turner family to serve on the Great Southern Bank Board of Directors. Her career took an unexpected shift after her work with John Q. ended. She got into affordable housing development. But with a long history of nonprofit volunteer leadership building up communities, it’s no wonder the job stuck.
On Finding Your Voice
“Everybody can do a lot of things. But you have to do what’s going to work not only for you, but also be good for the company. If you come in and you have this agenda that allows you to have a skyrocketing trajectory but doesn’t do good things for the company, that’s not going to work.”
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
