Following repairs, the city of Nixa has reopened the community pool at The X Center in McCauley Park.
June 10 was the launch date for the pool, according to a news release. The pool did not open during summer 2023 after a "significant leak" was found, according to past reporting.
"After completing extensive repairs to fix the pool’s leak, we are ready to welcome our community back for a fantastic summer," officials said in the release.
The pool project's total cost is nearly $1.4 million, including repairs and upgrades, such as shade structures and a water play feature, said Macie Thornhill, communications specialist for the city of Nixa.
Branco Enterprises Inc. began on-site work March 29, according to past reporting. Nixa City Council last year authorized up to $100,000 for repairs, Springfield Business Journal previously reported.
The nearby city of Republic last month debuted a $7.4 million expansion to its rebranded The Rush Republic Aquatic Park, according to past reporting.
The Pickle LLC and The Chilly Dill LLC opened; food truck Whatcha Cooking launched; and Architect Coffee Co. LLC debuted its second location.
