Project description: The two-story addition for the Nixa Public Schools’ performing arts center features an 1,100-seat auditorium with a stage, set-building shop, storage, media room, concession/ticket office, lobby, restrooms and elevator. Renovation work includes converting existing spaces into a band room, choir room and drama lab. Dake Wells Architecture Inc. designed the project, and engineering work is by Mettemeyer Engineering LLC, structural; Shaffer & Hines Inc., civil; and True Engineering LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
