Nike reported quarterly net income of roughly $1.5 billion, an increase from nearly $1.4 billion a year earlier.
For its fiscal first quarter that ended Aug. 31, the company's digital sales grew 82%.
“We know that digital is the new normal. The consumer today is digitally grounded and simply will not revert back,” Nike CEO John Donahoe said.
