KPM CPAs PC supervisors Freddie Young and Michelle Vespa were selected for Leadership Springfield Signature Classes 39 and 40, respectively. Each has five years of accounting experience, with Young providing audit services for clients and Vespa handling audits in for-profit industries, as well as employee benefit plans. The Leadership Springfield programs are scheduled to begin this fall and run through May 2021.

Banking and Finance
Ozark Bank promoted John Hedgpeth to executive vice president and chief financial officer from vice president and commercial lender and Kyle Purdome to senior credit officer from senior vice president of lending. A fourth-generation member of Ozark Bank’s founding family, Hedgpeth joined the bank in 2016 after previously working as a commissioned bank examiner for the Missouri Division of Finance. Purdome, who has worked for Ozark Bank for nine years, oversees the credit analysis function in his new role.

Guaranty Bank added Mike McGoldrick and Kris Nau as senior vice presidents and commercial relationship managers. McGoldrick has 40 years of banking experience, most recently as a commercial lender at Regent Bank. Nau has nearly 30 years of experience, including stints as a commercial banker for Simmons Bank and Central Bank of the Ozarks.

Health Care
CoxHealth President and CEO Steve Edwards was one of five individuals recognized by EM Docs as a top administrator during the COVID-19 pandemic. Edwards, who ranked No. 1 on the list, was credited for being transparent in making quick decisions, spearheading a new coronavirus ward and personally donating $100,000 to the CoxHealth Employee Heroes Fund for staff members or their families who have been diagnosed with COVID-19. EM Docs is a Facebook group comprising more than 22,000 emergency physicians.

Municipal
Springfield City Council appointed Michelle Moulder to the Springfield-Greene County Public Library Board. She works as an assistant federal defender for the Western District of Missouri. Moulder also serves on the Missouri State University Alumni Association Board of Directors, according to the university website. Her library board term runs through July 2021.

Nonprofit
The Federal Communications Commission’s Wireline Competition Bureau awarded a $742,780 grant to the Jordan Valley Community Health Center for the COVID-19 Telehealth Program. Part of the coronavirus relief bill, JVCHC plans to fund in-home telehealth kits for individuals and families under COVID-19 quarantine, as well as patients who require chronic disease management or are part of a high-risk population. Also in the plans are telehealth kiosks for provider and patient use at the flagship clinic downtown. Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri Inc. was named one of three national finalists by Catholic Charities USA in its Innovation Challenge to alleviate, reduce and eliminate poverty. The winner, announced in October at the CCUSA Annual Gathering in Ohio, will be awarded a $333,000 grant. The local agency, competing in the midsize category, would fund a social enterprise apprenticeship program called Purpose Home Repair & Plumbing.
