Banking
Brent Brown, CEO of Entrust Property Solutions LLC, joined the Legacy Bank & Trust Co. Board of Directors. Before starting Entrust in 2016, Brown was the president and CEO of Summer Fresh Supermarkets until the company sold in 2012.

Education
Nixa Public Schools student Ella Schober won the Missouri Senator’s Choice Award in District 20 for her drawing of Bass Pro Shops for the Senate Art Exhibit. Her art will be displayed through the end of the year at the state Capitol. The exhibit is a joint effort between the Missouri Alliance for Arts Education and the Missouri Art Education Association.

Alina and Darren Lehnert and Marshall and Winter Kinne agreed to co-chair the newly formed Friends of SPS to advocate for Proposition S, the $168 million bond proposal by Springfield Public Schools. Also, Dr. Tom Prater, a City Council member and former school board president, was named the group’s treasurer. He and Marshall Kinne served on the SPS Community Task Force on Facilities, and Alina Lehnert is a current member of the SPS Board of Education.

The Branson Police Department hired Corey Hodzic as a school resource officer for Branson Public School’s Cedar Ridge campus. He has worked as a patrol officer with the department since 2014.

Entertainment
SummitMedia LLC appointed Jay Lashley as program director for radio station KSPW-FM, Power 96.5. Lashley, aka “The Ginge,” spent the last two years as music director and he’ll continue to host the station’s 3-7 p.m. daily time slot.

Government
Sen. Eric Burlison, R-Battlefield, was appointed vice chairman of the Professional Registration Committee in the Missouri Senate. The committee considers and reports on bills and matters relating to the reorganization, establishment, consolidation or abolition of departments, boards, bureaus and commissions of state government, the internal operation of any state agency and the effect of federal legislation on state agencies.

Insurance
DFG Insurance agents Michael DeFontes and Deena Williams were named to the 2019 Elite Circle of Champions for their contributions and successes during the health insurance marketplace open enrollment period. Both agents enrolled more than 100 clients into the marketplace this year.

Nonprofit
Prosper Springfield received a $25,000 donation from Simmons Bank toward increasing financial literacy in the community. The bank also committed to provide classes through Community Partnership of the Ozarks’ Making Sense of Money program.

Technology
PCnet LLC added Brian Peltier as information technology consultant and account manager. He previously worked as division sales manager for All Copy Products Inc. and also has held the positions of president, general manager and chief operations officer at Corporate Business Systems.
