Lindsay Sharp is the new programs and outreach coordinator for Camp Barnabas’ Springfield office. Sharp develops programs for off-season follow-up with campers and staff and assists with recruitment for camp programs. She also is responsible for identifying and creating camp devotional materials.

Construction

Jeremiah Mee is the new chief financial officer for Ozark-based Larry Snyder & Co. Mee, a graduate of Missouri State University, has more than 12 years of experience in the financial industry, including with the Kansas City office of Deloitte & Touche. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Divorce Financial Analysts.

Education

Drury University received a $50,000 grant from the National Geographic Society to fund workshops and conferences for Missouri social studies teachers through the Missouri Geographic Alliance. Drury has been the home for the MGA offices since 2004.

Barbara Weathers joined Drury’s College of Graduate and Continuing Studies as director of outreach activities. She is responsible for marketing, public relations and community involvement. Weathers has a master’s degree in communication and has been an adjunct professor of communication at the school since 2002.

U.S. News & World Report named Southwest Baptist University one of America’s Best Christian Colleges for the 10th consecutive year. The magazine also named SBU one of America’s 100 Best College Buys for the 11th straight year.

Engineering

Jason McCullough joined ESC Inc. Consulting Engineers as a mechanical engineer in training. McCullough works on the design of mechanical systems for commercial projects and industrial utility piping systems.

Farm Supply

S&H Farm Supply locations in Lockwood and Rogersville each received the 2005–2006 President’s Prestige Award from New Holland North America. The award, the highest company honor attainable by New Holland dealerships, recognizes outstanding achievement in business management and customer satisfaction.

Health Care

Bob Jefferson, administrator of Creekside at Elfindale, attended a five-day Vetter Foundation Fall Administrator’s Conference in Omaha, Neb. The theme of the conference, The Journal of Life, focused on building new and innovative technologies for elder-care facilities.

Insurance

Billie Frahm and Cindy Marriott, agents with Connell Insurance, received the Certified Insurance Service Representative designation. Frahm and Marriott completed five courses and a written examination. Frahm has been with Connell since 2002. Marriott has been with Connell Insurance since February 2003.

Law

Jason D. Smith joined The Courtney Law Firm. Smith earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Missouri State University and a Doctorate of Law from Oklahoma City University School of Law. He is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, the Oklahoma Bar Association and the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association, and recently completed the Estate Planning Seminar at Notre Dame University.

Michael S. Nichols is the newest partner in the Springfield office of Husch & Eppenberger LLC. Nichols, one of 13 new partners firmwide, practices in the company’s business transactions practice group. He focuses on business and corporate matters, real estate transactions and commercial financing. Nichols received his law degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law.[[In-content Ad]]
