New Branson aldermen take office

Posted online

Two new members of the Branson board of Aldermen were sworn into office at yesterday's meeting.

Aldermen Jeff Seay of Ward II and Jamie Whiteis, Ward III, were elected in the June 2 general municipal election. They succeed Rick Castillon and Brian Clonts, respectively, according to a news release. Incumbent Bill Skains also was sworn into his new term yesterday.

“These jobs – if you see any of these committees they serve on – it’s not easy to put in that kind of time and donate it to community service. We really appreciate it,” acting board President Bob Simmons said in the release.

Aldermen serve two-year terms.

Seay is the division manager at Branson Security & Fire, a company he owned through August 2018, according to his profile on the city of Branson's website. Whiteis serves as general manager of Tanger Outlets Branson.
