The Missouri State University Board of Governors is scheduled to vote tomorrow on a construction contract to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Queen City Roofing & Contracting Co. submitted the sole bid for a project calling on the replacement of the roof at the Hill Hall academic building, according to the board's agenda.
Queen City Roofing's bid was $627,300 for the project that has a total funding source of $900,000, via the university's fiscal 2020 maintenance and repair budget.
"While only one bid was received for this project, it is in line with the anticipated costs and recommended to be accepted," the board agenda reads.
Pending board approval, Queen City Roofing would remove the building's existing clay tile roof and install a new roof.
Hill Hall previously underwent an $11 million interior renovation approved by the board in 2017, according to past reporting.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
