Springfield-based Integrity Home Care is converting to a new operating system around nine months after an international company bought a stake in the business.

Bayada Home Health Care, which became majority owner of Integrity early this year, is transitioning the Springfield company today to its management system after several months preparing for the launch, according to a news release. In announcing the deal in February, Bayada officials said they would work with Integrity over the next 10-12 months to integrate the Bayada operating model, systems and support services.

“For more than 20 years, we have operated Integrity with a passionate commitment to improving our health care system, meeting needs with unmatched skill, compassion and integrity, and bettering our communities,” Integrity President Cliff Stepp said in the release. “We know — especially after working hand in hand with Bayada leadership on integration for several months — that Bayada is fully committed to our mission and long-term view of health care. They are positioned to help us thrive in this constantly evolving industry."

Officials expect the system conversion to allow Integrity to scale operations more rapidly. The move also is designed to strengthen Integrity's existing joint venture with Mercy, created in 2018 to provide an integrated health care delivery system and reduce hospital readmissions.

“At Bayada, we have a long-standing relationship with Integrity leaders and are thrilled by the opportunity to partner with them, and with Mercy, to help transform how home care is delivered in the region,” said David Baiada, CEO of Bayada, in the release. “We’re also excited to welcome the incredible Integrity staff to the Bayada family. We believe that with their talent and passion, this mission-aligned partnership is a significant step toward placing home in the center of health care."

Integrity was founded in 1999, according to past reporting. The company ranked No. 2 on Springfield Business Journal's list this year of the area's largest home health care agencies. Integrity reported 59,000 local average monthly patient visits, $53 million in companywide revenue in 2021 and 741 total employees.

Bayada has around 29,000 employees and 35,000 average weekly clients, according to its website.
