The Mid-West Family of Cos., a Madison, Wisconsin-based radio and marketing network, hired a new general manager for its Springfield operation.
Brian Tyndall, a 20-year veteran of Mid-West Family, was promoted to the top local role, according to a news release. He succeeds Scott Meier, who is retiring after leading the local media group since 2016.
“Our local business community is in a rapid- growth mode, and it’s a very exciting time in our industry,” Tyndall said in the release. “I am happy to be stepping into this role to lead us into our next chapter."
As general manager, Tyndall leads a staff of 41 people locally.
Mid-West Family in Springfield operates FM radio stations 104.7 The Cave, 92.9 The Beat, Q102 Springfield's Rock Station and 105.1 The Bull, according to the release. The operation locally also has a full-service marketing company.
Mid-West operates more than 40 radio stations in eight Midwest markets, according to its website.
