Mark Ashton LLC has closed its Springfield store amid an ownership change, according to Facebook posts from the retailer.
The women’s fashion retailer on Dec. 9 announced the Springfield store closure at 1570 E. Battlefield Road in The Galleria Shopping Center. A separate post indicates the last day was Dec. 28.
"It’s been an amazing 10 years of Mark Ashton, but our owner is retiring and we are closing the doors to our Springfield location, and are continuing in Branson under new ownership," the Dec. 9 post reads. "We hope you stick around to see all of the exciting things to come at our Branson location."
Company officials could not be reached for comment by deadline.
Mark Ashton's Springfield store opened in 2016 under the ownership of Gina Adams, according to past reporting. Mark Ashton’s first boutique opened at Branson Landing five years earlier, selling women’s clothing, jewelry, accessories, shoes and gifts.
The Republic School District is on track to open its Intermediate School for fifth- and sixth-grade students for the 2025-26 academic year.
