Least of These beefs up team as need grows

Posted online

Ozark nonprofit Least of These Inc. has strengthened its team as it faces an increased need for its food pantry services.

The nonprofit promoted three employees to director-level positions and added two new staff members, according to a news release issued this week.

Michelle Lindsey was named director of operations and administration, with Michele Pierce promoted to director of client services and Jacqué Breedlove-Harness to director of community relations. They previously were operations manager, client services coordinator and marketing and communications coordinator, respectively.

Hired to the team were Douglas Ewart as volunteer coordinator and Matthew Enoch as operations coordinator, according to the release.

"In the past year, we have seen a 50% increase in the number of people who are seeking food assistance from Least of These," Executive Director Kristy Carter said in the release. "We have to grow our team in order to meet the increasing demands for service."

Least of These, which serves more than 10,000 families annually, has an operating budget of nearly $3.5 million, six full-time employees and one part-time worker, said Breedlove-Harness.
