The co-founder of Leaky Roof Meadery LLC in Buffalo has died.
Todd J. Rock, 43, died "suddenly" on June 1, according to a company Facebook post. His cause of death was not disclosed.
"His artistry will very much be missed in the industry for years to come," the post reads.
Rock founded Leaky Roof Meadery in 2014 with his father, David Rock, according to past Springfield Business Journal reporting.
The business was listed for sale last year, and it has since closed, David Rock said via email. He noted Leaky Roof Meadery is still for sale.
"Though the business is closed, we are currently seeking new owners to carry on the Leaky Roof name and Todd’s legacy," Rock said.
Leaky Roof made mead, a honey-based alcohol.
"It’s got a lot of versatility to it," Todd J. Rock told Springfield Business Journal for a 2015 article. “With mead, I have even more room to play around with what I do.”
The name of the business pays homage to the Leaky Roof Railway, according to SBJ archives.
