The Adam Johnson Team at Keller Williams Greater Springfield has formed a new real estate firm.

Adam Johnson and co-owner Aaron Owens yesterday announced the launch of Alpha Realty MO LLC in a Facebook video post.

“We felt like there was a gap,” Owens said in the video. “We wanted to start a young, fresh brokerage that really focused on clients’ experience and helping them accomplishing their goals and dreams.”

Reached this morning, Johnson said The Adam Johnson Team’s 2018 residential real estate volume reached nearly $20 million by working with 116 families in the home-buying and selling process. On the whole, Keller Williams Greater Springfield reported $495.5 million in gross residential sales through June 30, 2018, ranking it No. 2 on Springfield Business Journal’s December list of the area’s largest residential real estate firms.

Johnson said The Adam Johnson Team comprising himself, Owens, Andrea Reed and Brandon Jones is wrapping up an undisclosed number of residential contracts with Keller Williams.

“Once those close with Keller Williams, we’ll essentially draw a line in the sand,” Johnson said. “Active listings will transfer over to the new brokerage.”

Johnson said 15 other agents from various agencies signed on with Alpha Realty. He hasn’t forecasted how much sales volume the company would produce this year.

“If you count every agent that’s going to be joining up with us, that’s a shot in the dark,” he said.

Alpha Realty was registered with the Missouri secretary of state on Nov. 8.

The new company maintains its Adam Johnson Team office at 420 W. Walnut Lawn St., where Johnson shares space with and co-owns his mother’s Reborn Co. candle business.
