The Missouri Job Center tomorrow is slated to host a health care hiring event in partnership with nine area employers.
Katherine Trombetta, spokesperson for the Job Center, said the employers collectively are seeking "hundreds" of employees. She was unaware of how many jobs each specific employer would be targeting.
The hiring event is scheduled 9:30 a.m. at the Job Center's south-side location, 2900 E. Sunshine St.
“This hiring event coincides with the conclusion of our America’s Promise grant, which focused on training for health care jobs,” said Sally Payne, director of Workforce Development, in the release.
The participating employers are Citizens Memorial Hospital, Community Blood Center of the Ozarks, CoxHealth, CSL Plasma, Lakeland Behavioral Health, Mercy, QPS Bio-Kinetic, the Springfield-Greene County Health Department and Walmart.
The Republic School District is on track to open its Intermediate School for fifth- and sixth-grade students for the 2025-26 academic year.
