Two publicly traded businesses based in southwest Missouri are among the top 500 midsize companies in the United States, according to a newly released list by Time.
Monett-based financial software company Jack Henry & Associates Inc. (Nasdaq: JKHY) and Carthage-based manufacturer Leggett & Platt Inc. (NYSE: LEG) ranked Nos. 239 and 349, respectively, in the Time report released yesterday. Time partnered with Statista to examine companies with revenues between $100 million and $10 billion based on positive revenue growth, employee satisfaction and sustainability transparency.
With an overall score of 84.55 out of a possible 100, Jack Henry is No. 291 in employee satisfaction rank and No. 185 in sustainability transparency rank.
"Jack Henry has been recognized by several leading publications as a stellar workplace, and we're honored that Time has deemed us one of America's best mid-size companies," Jack Henry President and CEO Greg Adelson said in a news release. "Meeting the standards for this esteemed list validates our steadfast focus on taking care of associates, servicing clients, bettering communities and rewarding shareholders."
Leggett & Platt has an overall score of 82.11, placing No. 385 in employee satisfaction rank and No. 299 in sustainability transparency rank.
In Missouri, the highest-ranked company on the Time list is St. Louis-based Cass Information Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: CASS), at No. 72.
No. 1 on the full list is Pleasanton, California-based software provider Workday Inc. (Nasdaq: WDAY).
