U.S. home sales reached a 14-year high in August, according to the National Association of Realtors.
Existing home sales increased by 2.4% last month to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 6 million transactions, according to the NAR data. That's the highest level since 2006.
The median price for housing was $310,600 during August, marking the 102nd straight month of year-over-year gains.
