Hiland Dairy makes two leadership promotions

Posted online

Springfield-based Hiland Dairy Foods Co. LLC has made two leadership promotions within its ranks.

Greg Helbig was elevated to senior vice president of operations, and Clay Powell was named vice president of operations, according to a news release issued this morning. The promotions became effective on May 31, said Kathy Broniecki, CEO of Omaha, Nebraska-based public relations firm Envoy Inc., on behalf of Hiland Dairy.

Helbig has worked at Hiland Dairy for 39 years. The senior VP role was created for him, said Broniecki.

"Greg Helbig's deep understanding of our operations and unwavering commitment to quality make him an invaluable asset to our leadership team," said Rick Beaman, president of Hiland Dairy, in the release. "His experience and vision will be crucial as we continue to enhance our operational excellence."

Powell succeeds Helbig as VP of operations, Broniecki said. Powell, who has 35 years of experience in the dairy and food manufacturing business, started with Hiland Dairy in 1989 and returned to the company after a hiatus.

"Clay's focus on continuous improvement and capital investments aligns perfectly with our goals for the future," Beaman said in the release.
