Springfield-based Hamra Enterprises LLC has signed on as a franchisee of Minneapolis, Minnesota-based Caribou Coffee.
Caribou Coffee announced in a news release that Hamra Enterprises would open 24 locations in Missouri. Stores in the Springfield, Kansas City and St. Louis markets are planned by Hamra Enterprises, Caribou Coffee officials say.
Eve Metheny, director of brand marketing for Hamra Enterprises, said via email that the company has not yet confirmed any location sites.
Caribou Coffee is expanding with more than 300 new franchise locations domestically, according to the release.

Caribou Coffee, founded in 1992, had 330 corporate-owned locations, 141 licensed shops and 294 traditional franchises as of March 28, according to the release.
A Caribou Coffee shop previously operated in the Hy-Vee store at 1710 W. Battlefield Road, according to past reporting. The closest location now listed on Caribou Coffee's website is in Joplin.
The company's website indicates franchisees must commit to at least 10 locations, $3 million in liquid assets and experience with multiunit food and beverage or franchise operations.
The Republic School District is on track to open its Intermediate School for fifth- and sixth-grade students for the 2025-26 academic year.
