Great Southern Bancorp Inc. (Nasdaq: GSBC) and Arvest Bank ranked among the top 10 U.S. banks in a list published yesterday by Forbes.

Great Southern Bank placed No. 6, following by Arvest at No. 7 on the list that ranks banking companies on general satisfaction, as well as attributes including trust, fees and financial advice. In a partnership between Forbes and Statista, more than 40,000 customers were surveyed for the list of the world's best banks. The full list of global banks is unranked.

“It is always rewarding to receive recognition based on customer feedback because our customers are the ones we are here to serve,” said Kyle Hubbard, president for Arvest in Springfield, in a news release. “We trust that all our customers know we are more committed than ever to providing the solutions they need, especially during such an uncommon time."

Great Southern spokesperson Kelly Polonus said the company scored highest on customer satisfaction and ranked above-average in most other categories.

“We’re very humbled that we’re sixth on the list in the United States,” Polonus said via email.

The Forbes list does not include individual metrics that make up the rankings.

Other companies with a Springfield presence on the list include No. 19 Simmons Bank; No. 44 UMB Bank; No. 47 Regions Bank; No. 57 U.S. Bank; No. 62 Commerce Bank; and No. 64 BancorpSouth. Seventy-five U.S. banks made the list.
