Project description: At the former site of Buckingham Smokehouse Bar-B-Q on the corner of Kearney Street and Glenstone Avenue, O’Reilly Hospitality is developing a retail building with one tenant already signed on. Nearly 2,000 square feet has been leased to AT&T, according to a building permit filed with the city and the general contractor’s project manager, Conner Hunt. The shell building is scheduled for completion this summer. Larry Snyder & Co. is not under contract for the infill work, said Donnie Volentine, director of operations for the contractor. Building permits indicate St. Louis-based architect Oculus Inc. is assisting in infill of the AT&T space. O’Reilly Hospitality owner Tim O’Reilly did not return requests for comment. The Buckingham restaurant was demolished in March 2019 after the property was purchased by O’Reilly Hospitality, which also owns the adjacent DoubleTree by Hilton, Glendalough Convention Center and Fairfied Inn & Suites by Marriott. Kitty-corner to the hotels, O’Reilly also is developing BigShots Golf, a hitting range and entertainment venue.
