Project description: Baton Rouge, Louisiana-based restaurant chain Raising Cane’s is adding to the busy intersection of Sunshine Street and Campbell Avenue, near the Bass Pro Shops campus. Featuring a menu of chicken fingers, fries and coleslaw, company officials say it’s scheduled to open on Election Day. The Springfield store will be the 19th in Missouri and 530th nationwide, according to company representatives. Raising Cane’s spokesperson Anna Ball said the building will have a new design. “It will feature the use of vintage car hood metal for the community table and hand-painted murals,” said Ball. She said the store will display the name Springfield on an exterior mural to signify the only Raising Cane’s restaurant serving the area. The company plans to hire 70 full and part-time employees.
