Project description: Along Highway FF in southwest Springfield, Miller Engineering is building a new headquarters in front of its current office in a multitenant building. Company officials say two-thirds of the building will be cantilevered above ground. The two-story structure is designed with private and open offices, conference rooms, a workroom, break room, fitness area, testing lab and outdoor spaces. Construction was initially set to wrap by May, but weather and financing delays pushed the timeline to September, said Katarina Newell, Miller Engineering’s administrative assistant. Company President Travis Miller owns the 4,200-square-foot multitenant building where Miller Engineering currently operates in 3,000 square feet, according to Greene County assessor records and past Springfield Business Journal reporting.
