Project description: The 17th Hurricane Bay Car Wash is underway, and it’ll be the second in Bolivar – for the time being. Co-owner Cindy Templeton said she and her husband Brian already operate a car wash across the street. “We’ll keep that one open a little while to see if we need to have both,” she said. The Templetons started the car wash brand in 1995, she said, and entered the Bolivar market in 2003. The new car wash is designed with five self-serve bays and three automatics – two soft-touch units and a touch-free unit. Cindy Templeton said it’s outfitted with 3D-imaging equipment that scans vehicles to use appropriate amounts of water and soap. “They’re considered to be green machines,” she said of the products made by D&S Car Wash Equipment Co. in High Ridge outside of St. Louis. The Templetons also own and operate Marshfield-based car wash equipment supplier Supreme Carwash Systems Inc.
