Project description: Developers Tommy Buterbaugh and Blake Gammon are bringing a dog park to the east side. Dubbed Bark Yard, the 3-acre dog park includes a 6,000-square-foot building for day care, boarding and an indoor dog park for the cold seasons. Canine owners will need daily, monthly or annual passes to use the park, said co-owner Tommy Buterbaugh. The design also features a bar and patio area open to the public. Buterbaugh declined to disclose the cost of construction, but a building permit filed with the city recorded a $1.4 million estimated valuation. He said construction is expected to wrap up by the end of the year, before a spring 2021 opening.
