Founding OTC trustee retires this month

Posted online
Jackie McKinsey, a funding member of the Ozarks Technical Community College Board of Trustees, has set a July 31 retirement date.

Elected to the college's board of trustees in 1990, McKinsey previously held the positions of secretary, treasurer, vice chairwoman and chairwoman of the six-member board. She also served as chairwoman of the search committee that chose Hal Higdon as president in 2006, according to a news release.

“The Ozarks Technical Community College family is grateful for Mrs. McKinsey’s nearly quarter century of service,” said Greg DeLong, chairman of the OTC Board of Trustees, in the release. “She has a significant, impactful legacy with the college as a founding trustee, and we wish her nothing but the best in her retirement.”

During its July 14 meeting, the OTC board established McKinsey as a trustee emeritus. She becomes the fifth person to earn the title, including other founding trustees Dolores Brooks, Don Clinkenbeard, Frank Farmer and Don Wessel.

The board also voted to have Jennifer Kennally, president and CEO of the United Way of the Ozarks, serve the remainder of McKinsey's term expiring in April 2016, according to the release.[[In-content Ad]]
