The Stanley & Elaine Ball Foundation on Friday issued $257,500 in grants to local nonprofits.
The foundation, which is managed by Central Trust Co., donated funds to 25 recipients after receiving 56 applications for the grant round, according to a news release. The requirements for the grants included the organization's ability to enhance educational opportunities and provide support for disadvantaged children.
Good Samaritan Boys Ranch LLC received the top award, at $50,000.
The other recipients, by grant amount, are:
• Taneyhills Library Club, $25,000;
• Foundation for Springfield Public Schools, $20,000;
• Bridge of Faith Community Church Inc., $15,000;
• Ozarks Literacy Council, $15,000;
• Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks, $10,000;
• Children’s Miracle Network at CoxHealth, $10,000;
• Council of Churches of the Ozarks Inc. – Ambassadors for Children, $10,000;
• History Museum on the Square, $10,000;
• Least of These, $10,000;
• Ozarks Food Harvest Inc., $10,000;
• Springfield Symphony Orchestra, $10,000;
• Women in Need Inc., $10,000;
• Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks, $5,000;
• Children’s Smile Center, $5,000;
• Diaper Bank of the Ozarks, $5,000;
• Drury University , $5,000;
• Gift of Hope Inc., $5,000;
• Nixa Public Schools, $5,000;
• Ozark Teen Challenge, $5,000;
• The Kitchen Inc., $5,000;
• The Rebound Foundation, $5,000;
• Great Circle, $4,500;
• Lost & Found, $2,500; and
• Boys & Girls Club of Springfield, Youth of the Year, $500.
The Ball Foundation was established in 2005 by former Branson Mayor Stanley Ball to help those less fortunate in the community.
The Republic School District is on track to open its Intermediate School for fifth- and sixth-grade students for the 2025-26 academic year.
