Ford Motor Co. is teaming up with General Electric’s health care unit to produce 50,000 ventilators over the next 100 days.
Licensed by GE Healthcare from Florida-based Airon Corp., the simplified ventilator design has been cleared by the Food and Drug Administration to meet most COVID-19 standards.
The device relies on air pressure without the need for electricity.
