FDA clears booster shots for high-risk people

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration gave the green light to Pfizer and BioNTech's COVID-19 booster shots for high-risk people.

The dose will be available for adults 65 years and older and those at risk of severe disease.

Boosters also are available for people in jobs where infections are more likely, such as health care systems.
