Farmers Park coffee shop moving to Brentwood Center

The Press Coffee & Juice Bar, which has operated in Farmers Park since its 2014 launch, is planning a move this summer to the Brentwood Center.

Owner Alice Oh said The Press is slated to move by the end of June to 2710 S. Glenstone Ave. in Brentwood Center North. She signed a seven-year lease for undisclosed terms with Jared Commercial to occupy 1,750 square feet between Nearly Famous Deli & Pasta House and Gloss Nail Lounge. JaredCommercial.com lists an asking lease price of $22 per square foot annually.

Oh said she was impressed with landlord Curtis Jared after working with Trip Rhodes and Derek Smith of NAI Enterprise LLC to find a new space.

“It’s just the better move for us. It’s a good fit,” she said, pointing to her new neighbors including Orangetheory Fitness and Sumits Hot Yoga.

The space also includes a full kitchen, which will allow The Press to transform into a cafe with expanded breakfast and lunch offerings. Its coffee and organic, cold-pressed juices, the top products currently, will transition with the move, and Oh said other planned additions include beer, wine and kombucha.

The Press opened in late 2014 in Farmers Park at 2144 E. Republic Road, Ste. A-132, under the name Caffe Bene, a franchise coffeehouse chain based out of South Korea. Oh’s own concept, The Press Coffee & Juice Bar emerged as the new name in December 2016 after a break from the Caffe Bene franchise system.

Oh also is behind Battlefield Mall shop Sno Bubble Tea, which opened in November 2018 selling foamed, sweetened teas, coffee and waffles. Located next to Sears and near the food court, Oh said she expects a boost in business when Urban Air Adventure Park opens across the hallway.
