A new executive director started this week at Isabel's House.
Vickie Dudley worked her first day at the nonprofit on July 12, according to a news release. She succeeds six-year leader Holly Beadle, who last month became director of philanthropic services for Community Foundation of the Ozarks Inc., according to her LinkedIn profile.
Isabel's House, also known as the crisis nursery of the Ozarks, operates a temporary care facility for children when their families are in need due to homelessness, hospitalization, incarceration, substance abuse or domestic violence.
Dudley joins the organization from Joplin-based Children’s Center of Southwest Missouri, a nonprofit advocacy center for children who are victims of domestic violence, according to a news release.
"I’ve dedicated the past six years to supporting kids recovering from trauma and abuse, so I’m thrilled to be using my nonprofit leadership expertise to invest in prevention," Dudley said in the release. “As a parent myself, I know how hard it is to ask for help. I also know how life-changing support at the right moment can be — for both the parents and the children."
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
