Evangel University spokesperson Erin Hedlun is now part of President Mike Rakes’ cabinet with a promotion announced today.
Hedlun has been named chief marketing and communications officer, effective immediately, according to a news release. The position most recently was held by Matt Hufman, who left the university in 2020, said Hedlun.
An Evangel employee since 2018, Hedlun most recently served as senior director of marketing and communications.
"Since joining Evangel, she has shown exceptional leadership, innovative thinking, and a singular dedication to advancing the mission of the university," Rakes said in the release. "Erin is a pro’s pro who has a passion for our students and for Evangel.”
As a member of Rakes' cabinet, Hedlun will be involved in crafting the school's vision and strategic objectives.
