Event venue 425 Downtown LLC has a new co-owner.

Rebekah Shockey has gained a stake in the business founded in 2010 by Matt Krupa, according to a news release. The financial terms of the deal were undisclosed.

"Krupa Holdings LLC's very own Rebekah Shockey is embarking on a bold new journey as she expands her entrepreneurial horizons by acquiring a 50% stake in 425 Downtown LLC," officials said in the release. "After serving as an integral part of the team for over seven years, Rebekah's remarkable leadership skills, industry expertise and tireless dedication have earned her this much-deserved promotion."

425 Downtown is an events and catering company that operates a venue at 425 W. Walnut St., and it recently took on management of The Old Glass Place after the Missouri State University Foundation purchased the venue, according to past reporting. For over seven years, Shockey has served as 425 Downtown’s director of operations, following a three-year stint as banquet coordinator for Metropolitan Grill, according to her LinkedIn profile.

As co-owner, Shockey oversees 425 Downtown's venue operations, as well as that of The Old Glass Place.
