Developer discloses $350M redevelopment plan for AT&T tower in STL

Posted online

Charles Goldman, managing partner of Boston-based Goldman Group, unveiled a $350 million redevelopment plan for the vacant AT&T tower in downtown St. Louis.

The plans call for more than 600 apartments and retail space.

Goldman discussed the plans during a Missouri Senate hearing on potential tax credits for office-to-residential conversions, according to the St. Louis Business Journal.

“Projects like this need support and ultimately the market dictates what gets built and what doesn’t,” Goldman said. “Right now, downtown’s market conditions are not strong enough to support the immense cost of redevelopment on its own. Even with historic tax credits the financial gap is too wide.”
