Several high-dollar homes were listed in Springfield last month, according to the Southern Missouri Regional MLS.

For the periodic editorial series Curb Appeal, Springfield Business Journal compiled a list of single-family homes with an asking price of at least $500,000 that were listed in city limits last month. In September, eight properties qualified.

A Don Russell-designed home leads the crop in terms of asking price, and in keeping with past trends, the beauty of the Ozarks is in full display with the properties.

2137 S. Cave Creek Lane
$1.4 million

Listed by the Hancock Co., this 1969-built home was designed by well-known Springfieldian Don Russell. With natural elements that work into the exterior, such as vegetation on the roof, the house on 7.9 acres — off Sunshine Street east of U.S. Highway 65 — has six bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms.

3850 E. Farm Road 130
$949,000

Located in Hickory Hills, this six-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bathroom residence is listed by AMax Real Estate. Features for the more than 5,300-square-foot home include 48 windows, hardwood floors and a fireplace with an antique mantle.

4609 E. Bittersweet Way
$850,000

On roughly 1.7 acres in east Springfield, this brick-and-stone home has a nearly 1,000-square-foot master suite. A large garage has room for a 45-foot motor coach, as well as six cars, and a separate seven-bay shop also is located on the property listed by The Realty Group LLC.

3752 E. Eaglescliffe Drive
$719,900

Murney Associates lists this five-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom home in Highland Springs. New interior paint and several new fixtures are noted along with a great room that has a two-story ceiling.

3417 S. All Saints Lane
$609,900

In a gated community hidden away from passersby in Galloway Village, this two-bedroom home with three and a half bathrooms has an all-brick exterior. Inside, a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace and hardwood floors are among the features in this listing from Murney Associates.

3348 W. Bluffview St.
$599,900

In the Rivercut Golf Community, this 2018-built home includes a 20-foot stone fireplace and a large basement. Listed by Murney Associates, the residence spans nearly 5,000 square feet with six bedrooms and four bathrooms.

4335 E. Bogey Court
$595,000

Debco Realty’s listing states this 2004-built home has had one owner. The four-bedroom, four-bathroom residence is located in a gated community and has a landscaped yard with a water feature.

6236 S. Hunters Trail
$550,000

The current owners say they have invested $100,000 to update and remodel this home listed by EXP Realty LLC. A new deck backs to the 10th fairway of Rivercut Golf Course, and it has views of James River.
